Overview
Overview
Accountable care organizations are new models of population-based care delivery. The organization of ACOs can be complex, with a variety or combinations of entities joining together to form a care delivery system to serve a population of patients (e.g., Medicare patients). This continuing education module will provide nurses with an overview of the history of the ACO model, an understanding of how ACOs will function, and the emerging roles of nurses within ACOs.
