Overview
The goal of this course is to prepare advanced practice nurses for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (AGACNP-BC) exam.Goals and Learning Outcomes
This course aims to review common physiologic and pathophysiologic concepts needed by the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.
- Review the main therapeutic principles for the management of acute, chronic and critical clinical conditions
- Describe physiological responses to illness
- Discuss various presentations of acute and chronic comorbidities
- Describe the normal physiologic process of each body system
- Identify the function for each organ.
