Overview
There are numerous and constant challenges around time, conflict, and overall stress management in healthcare. Healthcare professionals are constantly having to make difficult, timely, and accurate decisions. Having sound critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills can make a substantial positive difference in one‘s practice and patient safety. This learning activity addresses change, reality shock, time management, conflict management, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
Goals and Learning Outcomes
- Identify how change, reality shock, time management, stress management, and conflict management present challenges and ways to manage these challenges as a preceptor.
- Recall the importance of critical thinking and creative problem-solving in ambulatory care nursing and how to facilitate improving these skills in a preceptorship.
