The goal of this module is to review the purpose and indications for invasive hemodynamic monitoring and to explore system set up, normal waveforms and measurement techniques.

After taking this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify the correct measurement of a central venous pressure waveform.
  • Discuss the components of a pressure monitoring set up.
  • Describe the normal and abnormal arterial waveforms.
  • Review the purpose and indications for invasive hemodynamic monitoring
