This course will address key provisions of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and related rules.Goals and Learning Outcomes

- List the rights and responsibilities of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Contrast the practice of registered nursing with that of licensed practical nursing.

- Identify the rights and responsibilities provided to all nurse licensees under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- Identify three unique provisions of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- List conditions in which a CNS, CNP, or RN may pronounce death in Ohio.
- Identify board-provided interpretive guidelines to assist nurse licensees to engage in safe nursing practice and to understand their obligations under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
