Nurses play a significant role in managing patients with cardiac catheterization. Patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional percutaneous coronary artery procedures require close monitoring and quick interventions.

- List factors that increase the risk for vascular complications in patients undergoing cardiac-invasive procedures.
- Discuss common sensations and anxieties experienced by patients undergoing cardiac-invasive procedures.
- Describe nursing pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Recall nursing care for patients undergoing coronary artery procedures.
- List factors associated with increased risk for vascular complications in patients undergoing cardiac-invasive procedures
- Discuss common sensations and anxieties experienced by patients undergoing cardiac-invasive procedures
- Describe nursing care associated with procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory
