The goal of this course is to provide nurses preparing for the CRRN® examination on theories, psychosocial disorders, and belief systems.Goals and Learning Outcomes
This course is part of a series that prepares nurses for the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Exam (CRRN®) exam. Promoting psychosocial health is a specific role for the rehabilitation registered nurse. In this course, you will learn about primary psychosocial disorders, evaluate the effects of an individual's values, belief systems, and spirituality, and promote self-efficacy, self-care, and self-concept. Additionally, assisting patients and their support systems with coping and stress management strategies is crucial to positive patient outcomes. A rehabilitation registered nurse must understand these essential principles for successful rehabilitation.
The goal of this course is to provide nurses preparing for the CRRN® examination with information on various theories, psychosocial disorders, various belief systems, and strategies to assist caregivers in promoting positive patient outcomes.
- Describe the various assessments and theories based on psychosocial disorders.
- Recall the effects of an individual's values, belief systems, and spirituality.
- Identify the basic caregiver types and resources to help a caregiver and patient work toward a positive change.
