Overview
The goal of this course is to provide an overview of the incidence and risk factors, as well as the diagnostic and treatment options for endometrial cancer.Goals and Learning Outcomes
Cancer survival in the U.S. has improved over the years for most cancers, except for cancer originating in the uterine cervix and corpus. Uterine cancer, including endometrial cancer, is the most common gynecological malignancy, followed by cervical and ovarian cancers. Nurses need to be aware of the role social determinants of health play in uterine cancer mortality and promote prevention efforts for patients and the public. This course covers risk factors, symptoms, and diagnostic and treatment options for endometrial cancer.
