Overview
The goal of this course is to update nurses and respiratory therapists on the mechanisms of dyspnea and its evidence-based assessment and management.Goals and Learning Outcomes
Identifying and treating the primary cause of dyspnea is the favored approach to alleviating the symptom, but it persists in many patients despite optimal therapy. Clinicians need to have knowledge of the latest evidence-based assessment and management of dyspnea. Clinicians will benefit from this course, as it covers classifications of dyspnea, the mechanisms that cause dyspnea, and evidence-based updates on the assessment and treatment of dyspnea.
