Vision loss can significantly impact a patient’s daily function and quality of life. Physical risks, such as falls and injury, and psychosocial consequences, such as depression and social isolation, are increased as a result of impaired vision. It is important as a healthcare provider that you are familiar with the guidelines for the prevention and detection of eye disorders in your patients.
