Goals and Outcomes
Goals and Learning Outcomes

Lymphedema and associated wound formation represent a difficult issue to deal with, primarily because the lymphatic system does not neatly fall into any medical specialty. Consequently, few clinicians are well-versed in its pathophysiology or treatment. While there is no definitive cure for lymphedema, managing the progression and minimizing complications are of utmost importance.

The goal of this course is to provide healthcare professionals with information about modalities and therapeutic options available for the treatment of lymphedema and similar diseases, such as lipedema and lipo-lymphedema.

After taking this course, you should be able to:

  • Recognize critical anatomical and clinical elements of lymphedema.
  • Identify potential complications of lymphedema and treatment options.
