This module focuses on clinical assessment and treatment options for common orthopedic degenerative and inflammatory disorders.
The purpose of this course is to help prepare the nurse to sit for the Orthopedic Nurses Certification (ONC™) examination.
- Discuss expected assessment findings and complications of various orthopedic degenerative and inflammatory disorders.
- Describe surgical procedures to alleviate symptoms of these diseases, and post-operative management for those procedures.
- Identify pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatments for common degenerative and inflammatory disorders.
