Overview
The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals program provides nurses safe care guidelines for hospitalized patients, thus meeting TJC’s and employers’ requirements. Nurses do not always receive adequate education about current NPSGs. This updated CE module provides information for increasing knowledge on the subject and describes NPSG intents and elements of performance (requirements).
Goals and Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) continuing education program is to inform clinicians about The Joint Commission’s current hospital NPSG. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
