Overview
The goal of this course is to reinforce and teach nursing professionals in the acute care setting about the combined art and science of caring.Goals and Learning Outcomes
Caring, like other kinds of clinical expertise, develops gradually and is subtle and complex. Nurses who have mastered the art of caring are often distinguished by that ability. Many nurse investigators have proposed that caring is the essence of practice. The word “caring” is the most common adjective used to describe the nursing profession by students and nurses (Compton et al., 2018).
The goal of this course is to reinforce and teach nursing professionals in the acute care setting about the combined art and science of caring.
