Overview
While healthcare providers may feel intuitively that humor is beneficial for themselves and their patients, the drive for evidence-based practice can leave humor on the sidelines. Studies show that laughter decreases stress hormones, improves mood, enhances creativity, diminishes pain, reduces blood pressure and stimulates the body's immune system.Goals and Learning Outcomes
