Overview
Veteran suicide in the U.S. is an underreported epidemic in need of attention from all healthcare professionals. Increasing awareness and providing greater access to services for those who have served their country can help reduce veteran suicide rates. Clinicians who recognize that suicidal behavior is complex, especially in the veteran population, are better able to provide the needed support to reduce these tragedies.
