Overview
Multidisciplinary, interprofessional, and transdisciplinary team designations, often used interchangeably, refer to disciplines grouped according to patient care responsibilities that operate with varying degrees of interaction among team members. An interprofessional team is composed of members from various practices who interact, communicate continually, and share information from their own disciplinary perspectives. They collaborate to solve problems that are often too complex to be solved by one discipline. This program helps to increase healthcare professionals’ knowledge of skills required to work effectively on interprofessional teams.
